Hard to tell how effective it is tbh. It goes on periodically, but seems loosely tied to the humidity. Some times the humidity is reading at 80 to 90 percent and it doesnt turn on and sometimes it is at 40 percent and turns on. We set it for 60 percent humidity. Initially it was on constantly, so we then tried 70 percent, but then it wouldnt turn on at all. We put it on at 60 again and it goes on and off throughout the day which is probably doing what we need it to do. It would be nice if it felt like the humidistat reader was more accurate...or vaguely accurate. But seems to be getting the job done nonetheless.
