Contract
These terms apply to all goods supplied by SND Electrical ("the Supplier").
A contract is not formed until the Supplier has received and accepted your order, and full payment has been received.
The contract is subject to your right of cancellation (see Section 5).
Customers must inspect deliveries immediately upon receipt and inform the Supplier within 48 hours of any missing items, damage, or shortages. Claims made after this period will not be accepted.
Descriptions
Product descriptions are based on information available on the Supplier's website at the time of order. Please note that illustrations, dimensions, and descriptions are approximate and for guidance only.
While we strive to list products accurately, manufacturers may make minor changes throughout the year. If your item differs slightly, we will accept a return and provide a full refund. Items must be unused and in original packaging. Used or installed items are not eligible for a refund.
Always check dimensions upon receipt before cutting holes or commencing installation. The Supplier is not liable for any costs arising from premature installation.
For specific suitability enquiries, please contact the Supplier in advance.
All goods are subject to availability. In the event of unreasonable delay, we will offer a full refund.
Pricing
We make every effort to ensure prices are accurate. If an error is discovered, we will inform you as soon as possible.
You may then choose to reconfirm the order at the correct price or cancel it. If no response is received within 5 days, the order will be cancelled and any payment refunded.
Payment
Full payment (including delivery charges) is required before an order is released for delivery.
Payment must be made without deduction unless a valid discount voucher is applied and pre-agreed.
We do not accept payments over the phone.
Cancellation and Returns Policy
Orders can be cancelled in writing within 7 working days of order placement and within 7 working days of delivery.
All cancellations must be made in writing via email to: internet.orders@sndelectrical.co.uk
Returned items must be in original, unused condition, in the original packaging, and include all components (e.g., lamps/bulbs). A refund will be issued, less carriage/postage costs.
You are responsible for return postage. Returns must be made within 14 days of receiving the item.
Items must be securely packed and returned via a tracked courier service. We recommend adding insurance for the value of the goods. The Supplier is not liable for lost or damaged returns.
Customised or tailor-made products (e.g., specially manufactured chandeliers) are non-refundable.
A returns reference will be issued upon cancellation - this must be quoted in all correspondence.
Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving the returned goods, subject to inspection. We reserve the right to refuse refunds where goods are not in resaleable condition.
Damaged Goods, Missing Deliveries & Shortages
Customers must notify the Supplier within 48 hours of delivery if any items are missing, damaged, or if there are any shortages in the package.
All notifications must be made in writing by email to: internet.orders@sndelectrical.co.uk
It is your responsibility to thoroughly check all items upon receipt. Claims made after the 48-hour window will not be accepted, and any replacements may be chargeable.
The Supplier will not be liable for any costs incurred due to damaged goods, late deliveries, or shortages, including but not limited to contractor or electrician fees.
Faulty goods will be replaced or refunded in full under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000.
Please note: broken glass does not constitute faulty goods.
Any lamps or tubes supplied with fittings are provided free of charge and are excluded from warranty or replacement for damage during transit.
If tracking information from the courier shows that an order has been delivered (including to a neighbour or safe place), the Customer must inform the Supplier within 48 hours if the item has not been received or there is an issue with the delivery location. Claims made outside this timeframe may not be accepted, and the Supplier reserves the right to treat the delivery as complete.
Installation
Non-portable lighting must be installed by a qualified electrician.
Failure to do so may invalidate your warranty and could breach UK Building Regulations.
Warranty
All goods are covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of supply (unless otherwise stated).
The warranty does not cover defects from fair wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, neglect, unauthorised repairs, or failure to follow instructions.
Goods returned under warranty and found to be free of faults or damaged by incorrect installation may be returned at your cost.
Some faults may only become apparent after the Product has been used for a period of time. Your rights to refunds or other remedies depend on how long you have owned the Product:
- Within 30 days of receiving the Product, you are entitled to a full refund if the Product is faulty.
- Between 31 days and 6 months: We have one opportunity to repair or replace the Product. If we are unable to do so, you will be entitled to a full refund.
- After 6 months: You must provide evidence that the Product is faulty (e.g., a manufacturer’s report or expert opinion). We may make a reasonable deduction from any refund to reflect the use of the Product.
Limitation of Liability
The Supplier's total liability is limited to the purchase price of the goods.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by the Supplier's negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation.
The Supplier is not responsible for any third-party costs (e.g., electricians) due to delivery delays, faults, or errors. Do not book contractors until goods are received and checked.
Data Protection
The Supplier takes reasonable steps to protect your order and payment details. However, unless the Supplier is negligent, we are not liable for unauthorised access to this information.
Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
